Using the Spike Protein to create vaccines is advisable because it is the most recognizable part of the virus and teaches the immune system to combat the virus easily, with the least amount of associated risks.

How COVID-19 mRNA vaccines work:

Messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) is a molecule that provides cells with instructions for making proteins. mRNA vaccines contain the instructions for making the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein. This protein is found on the surface of the virus that causes COVID-19.

The mRNA molecule is essentially a recipe, telling the cells of the body how to make the spike protein.

COVID-19 mRNA vaccines are given by injection, usually into the muscle of the upper arm.

After the protein piece is made, the cell breaks down the instructions and gets rid of them. The mRNA never enters the central part (nucleus) of the cell, which is where our DNA (genetic material) is found. Your DNA can’t be altered by mRNA vaccines.

The cell then displays the protein piece on its surface. Our immune system recognizes that the protein doesn’t belong there and begins building an immune response and making antibodies.

How mRNA Vaccines Work:

To trigger an immune response, many vaccines put a weakened or inactivated germ into our bodies. Not mRNA vaccines. Instead, mRNA vaccines use mRNA created in a laboratory to teach our cells how to make a protein—or even just a piece of a protein—that triggers an immune response inside our bodies. That immune response, which produces antibodies, is what protects us from getting infected if the real virus enters our bodies.

  • First, COVID-19 mRNA vaccines are given in the upper arm muscle. The mRNA will enter the muscle cells and instruct the cells’ machinery to produce a harmless piece of what is called the spike protein. The spike protein is found on the surface of the virus that causes COVID-19. After the protein piece is made, our cells break down the mRNA and remove it.
  • Next, our cells display the spike protein piece on their surface. Our immune system recognizes that the protein doesn’t belong there. This triggers our immune system to produce antibodies and activate other immune cells to fight off what it thinks is an infection. This is what your body might do to fight off the infection if you got sick with COVID-19.
  • At the end of the process, our bodies have learned how to protect against future infection from the virus that causes COVID-19. The benefit of COVID-19 mRNA vaccines, like all vaccines, is that those vaccinated gain this protection without ever having to risk the potentially serious consequences of getting sick with COVID-19. Any temporary discomfort experienced after getting the vaccine is a natural part of the process and an indication that the vaccine is working.

COVID-19 mRNA vaccines cannot give someone the virus that causes COVID-19 or other viruses.

Now, we could obviously just say that they ‘must be correct’, because these sources have public health at the top of their priority list. However, those of us at Warhorses very much believe that being critical and digging deeper is the only way to fully understand the consensus. The above data from ‘trusted’ sources leads us to the following questions:

  1. Is there a difference between the viral and vaccine spike proteins?
  2. Is the Spike Protein actually harmless?
  3. Is there a possibility of the mRNA changing or influencing our genes?

To get started, let’s discuss the structure of the Spike Protein. To sum this up we have created a few visual aids. The image seen here shows the full SARS-CoV-2 virus, and highlights 4 of the many proteins just to show you what we are looking at.

The Spike protein (S) is the piece we will be focusing this article upon. The reason we are doing this is to minimize the amount of information needed. The spike protein is also present in the vaccines which makes this discussion applicable to both vaccine and viral exposure. The reason the spike protein was chosen to make vaccines is because it is the most recognizable part of the virus, and easiest for our immune system to remember which helps the vaccines work to protect us from the virus.

To summarize the spike protein seen in the virus, we have created the visual aid below. On the left, you will see the Spike Protein in its closed or ‘pre-fusion’ state. This is an example of what the spike protein looks like before it enters or interacts with the body. On the right, you will see the Spike Protein in its open or ‘post-fusion’ state. This is an example of what the spike protein looks like after it has found and interacted with the ACE2 receptor binding domain (that’s what the spike protein connects with inside the human body to cause COVID-19). The spike protein is made up of two primary pieces. They are typically referred to as the S1 domain and the S2 domain.

The S1 domain is the piece of the protein which has a specific structure/shape designed to fit and match up with the ACE2 receptor binding domain inside your cells. The image below shows it as a pink shape with blue squares on it. Notice that in the pre-fusion state, it covers the S2 domain.

Once the S1 domain connects with the human receptor binding domain, it removes the S1 domain from the area and opens up like a switch blade, allowing the S2 domain to restructure into the post-fusion state, seen on the right. The S2 domain acts like a drilling mechanism and/or a needle. It drills into the ACE2 receptor binding domain and pushes the virus into our cells so that it can multiply and spread further. This is what causes the COVID-19 sickness.

Vaccine Spike Protein simplified

To summarize the spike protein seen in the vaccine, we have created the visual aid below. On the left, you will see the Spike Protein in its closed or ‘pre-fusion’ state. On the right, you will see the Spike Protein in its open or ‘post-fusion’ state. The vaccine spike protein has multiple differences when compared to the viral spike protein. Different vaccine companies will have made different changes, but the visual below somewhat summarizes all of the changes in a combination of all vaccines. The biggest difference is that there is no actual virus to be inserted into the body, even if the S2 domain gets opened up and has access to the receptor domain. Instead of the virus, this visualization shows the Lipid Nanoparticle (mRNA) but it could also be a viral vector such as the adenovirus used by Astrazeneca and J&J.

In the pre-fusion state, seen on the left, you will immediately notice that there are multiple S1 domains. This is not the structure in all vaccines but most. This ensures that the spike protein has to hit multiple ACE2 receptor binding domains before it even has the chance to open up like a switch blade. This is genius and the science goes back more than a couple years. This allows for the immune system to recognize the spike protein easier. The visual below shows a trimeric (3x) structure, but there are Dimeric (2x) structure vaccines as well. You will also notice the black lines which signify the S2 domain structure being connected, have been broken. This is just a visual representation of how the S2 domain can also be adjusted with mutations that stop the spike protein from restructuring once the S1 domain has been removed.

In the post-fusion state, seen on the right, you will immediately notice that because of the changes to the spike protein, the restructuring of the S2 domain has failed entirely and just falls apart. This prevents the injection of the virus and effectively gives the immune system something to respond to without the risk of getting sick with COVID-19. The only thing to be worried about is these garbage proteins now float inside your body until they are excreted through sweat, urine, and/or feces.

Is the Spike Protein actually harmless?

The very premise of this statement is false. If the Spike protein was completely harmless, it would not initiate an immune system response of any kind. This means that by definition, a vaccine must be slightly harmful in order to work as a vaccine. This is why there is serious risk assessments and trial phases after all.

This study shows that the Spike protein alone can damage vascular endothelial cells (ECs) by downregulating ACE2 and consequently inhibiting mitochondrial function. The replicating virus is not needed to cause endothelial damage.

This study shows that the activated (cleaved) form of the SP, S1SP, elicits strong pulmonary and systemic inflammatory responses in K18-hACE2 mice and milder responses in WT mice, whereas the intact SP provokes minimal or no responses.

Is there a possibility of the mRNA changing or influencing our genes?

The mRNA vaccines have been thought of by some as a literal gene altering, Hugo Strange style of experiment. This is obviously a completely radical thought process, we are not that far down the rabbit hole. Not yet anyway!

That being said, the spike protein itself does have some very interesting mechanisms which include both influencing and altering of cells. Remember, the Spike Protein (SP) is present in both vaccines and the live virus. Some of the ways the Spike Protein can seriously harm you include:

  • Impairing the Repair Mechanisms protecting your DNA
  • Introducing your body to HIV motifs
  • Reprogramming of your adaptive and innate immune responses
  • Risking ADE (Antibody Dependent Enhancement)

SARS–CoV–2 Spike Impairs DNA Damage Repair and Inhibits V(D)J Recombination In Vitro

This study found that the spike protein localizes in the nucleus and inhibits DNA damage repair by impeding key DNA repair protein BRCA1 and 53BP1 recruitment to the damage site. The findings reveal a potential molecular mechanism by which the spike protein might impede adaptive immunity and underscore the potential side effects of full-length spike-based vaccines.

Native-like SARS-CoV-2 Spike Glycoprotein Expressed by ChAdOx1 nCoV-19/AZD1222 Vaccine

This study shows that both Moderna’s mRNA-1273 and Pfizer’s BNT162b2 encode full length spike proteins with two mutations to stabilize the prefusion conformation. Therefor, every COVID-19 infected person, and/or recipient of a Covid vaccine is also a recipient of HIV motifs Gp120 and Gp41.

This preprint shows that the mRNA BNT162b2 vaccine induces complex functional reprogramming of innate immune responses, which should be considered in the development and use of this new class of vaccines.

Infection-enhancing anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies recognize both the original Wuhan/D614G strain and Delta variants. A potential risk for mass vaccination?

This study shows that Antibody Dependent Enhancement may be a concern for people receiving vaccines based on the original Wuhan strain spike sequence (either mRNA or viral vectors).

Conclusion

The spike proteins found in SARS-CoV-2 are scary and dangerous. The need for an effective treatment is absolutely justified.

The spike protein found in the SARS-CoV-2 virus is potentially very dangerous both short and long term. The virus itself is the more dangerous in the short term but the spike protein itself could easily cause a multitude of long term issues.

The spike protein found in the COVID-19 vaccines is also potentially very dangerous, but without the live virus, people are much less likely to encounter short term side effects, especially if the vaccine is properly aspirated before injection. That being said, the vaccine spike protein has additional S1 domains which induce COVID-19-like acute lung injury. This means that although short term effects are reduced, long term effects are very likely increased by choosing to use the vaccine over the virus.

Considering the fact that the vaccine has been spreading approximately 30x faster in Canada compared to the virus, the damage which has already been caused is irreversible. The vaccines should have saved lives short term but may result in worse long term results compared to just the virus.

New vaccines should be developed which use a less toxic piece of the virus, not the spike protein. Use of the spike protein in vaccines is simply just expediting the spread of this novel spike protein which causes the majority of issues related to COVID-19
